Ukrainian airman found working side hustle at Kherson Green Beans

KHERSON, Ukraine — Green Beans Coffee, a common sight on U.S. military installations, has opened its first location in the Donetsk Oblast battleground region with the help of a resourceful junior enlisted Ukrainian airman, sources confirm.

Green Beans cofounder Jason Araghi told Duffel Blog his company’s rapid-recon force worked with Air Force Private First Class Oksana S. Preso to open a café at Three Bayonets Roundabout in Kherson’s business district. “Oksana came through for us anytime we needed a business permit, or running water, or a door without bullet holes,” he said.

The coffee outlet is known for running cafés in active conflict zones for air and other forces’ personnel. The Kherson opening occupying a former Brown Rifle Chai Co. boutique, is the first Green Beans to open since Kherson was liberated from Russian military control.
