Marines Improve Cyber Skills with Microchip Eating Contest
Ranch and Vinegar and Salt lead in taste comparison

Killstreak engaged. I am become ODST.
FORT MEADE, Md. – Marines assigned to Marine Forces, US Cyber Command (MARFORCYBERCOM) are refining their technical and epicurean skills with a contest to eat the most microchips, and challenging other Devil Dogs to follow their example.
“People keep saying that China is eating our lunch in cyber warfare and microelectronics,” said MGySgt. Sam Flannery, SNCOIC of the MARFORCYBER Offensive Cyber Detachment. “Well, not on my watch. If cyberspace is the modern battlefield, then the modern lunch is the wafers of microchips that power our tools. We’ll chew the shit out of the Chinese in this fight just like we did at the Chosin Reservoir.”
To infuse the newest cyber chip technologies “right into our bloodstreams,” Flannery launched his Marines on a contest to ingest as many microchips as they could find at CYBERCOM headquarters. After one year, Flannery will award the leading chip eater the title of “Digital Devil Dog of the Year.”
