Fossil of TriCareatops Discovered Outside Fort Bragg

FORT LIBERTY, NC - A TriCareatops fossil found just outside the front gate of the base formerly known as Fort Bragg last week has military archaeologists excited, Duffel Blog has learned.

A crew from the Army Corps of Engineers excavated the fossil from a roadside near the longtime military installation after a group of AIT soldiers reported seeing bone fragments while pulling weeds near the front gate.

“We can confirm the discovery of TriCareatops remains off post, and are working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and local authorities to ensure the entire area is properly cordoned off so we can excavate safely, respectfully and with due care for the surrounding population,” Fort Liberty Public Affairs said when reached for comment. “Soldiers are reminded to avoid all wildlife on and off-post or face severe administrative action.” To ensure their safety until all testing is complete, soldiers are advised to stay away from the commissary, the base hospital, or the post exchange.
