“Aggressive” Jon Stewart harassing veterans about PACT Act benefits.

"Does it take Sandler to get vets to take care of themselves?"

Local Vet: “He appeared out of thin air and demanded we do what’s good for us.

ERLANGER, KY. – Activist, comedian, director, television host, and dick joke expert Jon Stewart was seen yelling at veterans in a parking lot at the Tampa, FL Veterans Administration (VA) hospital on August 1, part of an apparent personal campaign to ensure every veteran in America is aware of the benefits now available to them under The Sergeant First Class Heath Robinson Honoring our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics (PACT) Act.

“I don’t know man, I was just headed in to pick up my hemorrhoid medication,” said Larry Beltower, a medically retired Marine Staff Sgt. “All of a sudden, fucking Jon Stewart is up in my face yelling about ‘there’s no deadline to apply for PACT Act benefits, but those who file a claim or submit their intention to file by Aug. 9, 2023, may receive benefits backdated to Aug. 10, 2022.’”

Beltower, who acknowledges he “hates admin shit,” did say he felt compelled to visit www.dav.org after Stewart followed him home and physically forced him into the chair in front of the computer he normally uses to “do my own research”. Most of Beltower’s research, his search history reveals, involves arguing about “hot anime girls” on Reddit, but he said Stewart convinced him to stop typing “Arotira Pendragon in a metal bikini” long enough to secure critical benefits related to issues he’s had as a result of toxic exposure.

“I’m in my gaming chair and Jon-fuckin’-Stewart is in my kitchen making brownies from a box and yelling, ‘Hey dumbass, stop being a reprobate for a minute and file a claim or submit your intention to file by Aug. 9, 2023, as you may receive benefits backdated to Aug. 10, 2022’”

Unlike 97.36% of New Yorkers, Stewart does not limit his activities to Florida. Janelle Coates, a former Army EOD tech and Purple Heart recipient reported Stewart prevented her from entering the VA in Cody, WY, until she repeated verbatim, “Filing through an organization like DAV may protect thousands of dollars in earned benefits for affected families. Veterans with any concerns related to the claims process can contact their local DAV national service office for free-no obligation assistance.” Coates said she was “taken aback by Stewart’s offer to watch my kids while I called the DAV for assistance, but it was a big help when he did. He’s really good at Minecraft.”

Stewart, who had to be “physically encouraged,” agreed to receive the DAV Bugle Award for his advocacy on behalf of America’s veterans that led to the passage of the PACT Act, the largest and most comprehensive expansion of veterans' benefits for toxic and environmental exposures in history.

“On behalf of our national commander and 1 million members, we chose Jon to receive the Bugle Award, the highest honor we bestow upon individuals in media who contribute significantly to awareness about veterans and the issues we face,” said Dan Clare, DAV’s Chief Communications & Outreach Officer. “He said he would be happy to speak since it allowed him to reach far more veterans at once than blocking a guy into a parking space at a VA clinic in Rapid City, SD, and yelling at him from a rental car.”

Clare said Stewart also agreed to stop driving a bus around Los Angeles, CA, forcing veterans aboard, and haranguing them about PACT Act benefits, long enough to speak to DAV members via Zoom during the 2022 DAV and Auxiliary National Convention in Atlantic City on Saturday, Aug. 5.

The PACT Act is the best effort in the history of public policy to expedite and ensure justice for generations of veterans exposed to toxins while defending our country. We are really glad Jon Stewart will take a few minutes out from following people around Bethesda Naval Medical Center raving about “unclaimed benefits” long enough to receive an award from our charity,” said DAV National Commander Joe Parsetich.

Found by Duffel Blog reporters in the lobby of a VA clinic in Portland, ME, Stewart, who does not appear to have slept during his marathon travels across the nation, seemed unconvinced of his critical role, “I don’t know why DAV was so persistent about the Bugle Award. This whole thing should have been a no-brainer. Unfortunately, I had to yell at legislators and advocacy groups, and now the veterans themselves, to see veterans get the benefits they deserve for their sacrifices on behalf of the nation. Anyway, did you see this award? They mailed me the damn thing and it’s an actual bugle on a stand. Now, any time my kid comes across it I’ll have to listen to it unless I am somewhere dragging some veteran to my house to make sure they sign up for stuff that is their due.”

Jon Stewart is a prince of a human. Duffel Blog appreciates his support of America’s veterans and is proud to celebrate both him and Disabled American Veterans.
